Raised Printing
Thermography (Raised Printing) is often used in place of the more expensive engraving process to produce Business Cards, Formal Invitations and Stationery.
Commonly known as poor man's engraving, Thermography produces Raised Printing similar in appearance to engraving but using a different process.
In Thermography, a special powder is dropped onto the ink, which is printed on the paper. The printed piece is then heated, causing the powder to melt with the ink. Once melted, the paper then travels through a cooling unit that dries the mixture to form a raised effect on the paper.
The Raised Printing process requires a special piece equipment (which we have) called a Thermographer.
In fact, we have several lines of Thermography Production in our plant, giving us a another unique advantage over the competition.
FACT: Cornerstone Graphics manufactures more than 20 MILLION Raised Business Cards annually for some of our Nations Largest Corporations.
We can only achieve this with our extremely talented craftsman, some of which have been with us for more than 30 years.
